A Bit of a Basketcase!

O.P.I Don't Talk Bach to Me and O.P.I Her Royal Shine-ness

Hello everyone!  I was planning a post about the Game of Thrones Exhibition and my accompanying nails but the nails were just a pile of confusion BUT I will probably still post with pictures from the exhibition either later today or tomorrow.  I apologize for not posting all that often but I kept saying yes to extra shifts in work (I need to pay for nail polish somehow) and have either just been too tired to do any nail art or have just been uninspired but MOVING ON.

The past week has brought something mysterious to the shores of Belfast, SUNSHINE!  Safe to say, I slathered myself in factor 50+ and risked walking in the sun for roughly 20 minutes at a time and I am quite proud in saying I didn't get sunburnt YAY!  So with the sun, I was excited to do some summer nails with some bright colours and I really wanted to try out Don't Talk Bach to Me.  I've wanted it since it was first released as part of O.P.I's Germany Collection but it was on sale on ASOS and I got further discount off it with student discount so I was very pleased.  It took me a while to do the nails as I was waiting until after the GoT exhibition as I wanted to do some epic nails for it (which turned out to be an epic fail).  In the end, the sun went away, it's currently grey and rainy in Belfast and I finally have my summer nails *awkward*

I wanted to do some line work and I haven't ever done this technique before and I am very pleased with the results.  I followed the instructions from my WAH!Nails Book of Nail Art, which I would recommend to any up-and-coming nail artist.  After the first nail, it's pretty easy to follow and although I could have been more accurate with the thickness of my lines, I am still loving the result.  I did a slight glitter gradient underneath with Her Royal Shine-ness just to add a bit of pizzazz as I like to do.

I hope you like the manicure as much as I do.  Just to let you know, I've now got a flailsandnails twitter account so if you're on twitter, give me a wee follow.  I am slowly but surely taking over all social media LOL

    1. Thank you, I can't believe it's taken me so long to do this particular nail art! I can't wait to see what new ideas are in the next book, their instagram/tumblr is the best.

  2. These are really pretty! The glitter gradient is gorgeous and I really like the basket weave effect, it looks really complicated, though. Beautiful nails, as always!
