MS MR (+ Dublin Haul)

So for those who don't follow my twitter or instagram, I was in Dublin this weekend to see one of my favourite new bands, MS MR.  Since I didn't get to do any special nails for Queens of the Stone Age (who I saw last week), I knew I had to do something for this gig.  Follow me under the cut to read about how I did these nails, what they are inspired by and my haul from Dublin.

Nails Inc. Sheraton Street, Lisle Street, New Compton Street, O.P.I Her Royal Shine-ness, Yodel On My Cell and Sinful Colours Snow Me White
I'm sure a few of you have seen these technique a lot these past weeks.  This distressed look is courtesy of Chalkboard Nail's tutorial and it could not have come at a better time because I was trying to decide how I was going to replicate the album cover to MS MR's debut, Secondhand Rapture

I followed Sarah's simple tutorial with my chosen colours, used a striper brush to write the MS MR logo and sealed everything in with topcoat.
If you are unfamiliar with MS MR, they're a duo from New York who are AMAZING.  If you're a fan of Game of Thrones, you might recognise their song 'Bones' as it was used in the trailer for the third series. Their album and EPs are on Spotify and I highly recommend their covers of 'Do I Wanna Know?' and 'Dance Yrself Clean' (which they performed on Saturday and it was UNREAL)
The gig was in The Academy, which I've never been to before and the atmosphere was really cool.  It was an early gig because it was a Saturday night but MS MR played for a solid hour and I loved every minute.  I can't wait for the next time they grace our island with their presence again (and hopefully they might come to Belfast so I can sleep in my own bed LOL)
Now onto the rest of my trip to Dublin.  Of course, Dublin and the rest of the South use the Euro so major shopping was not on my mind as the exchange rate between Sterling and Euro is never equivalent to the different prices retailers charge in Euros if you know what I mean?  Basically its better for those in the South to come shop in the North because the exchange rate is more in their favour.  This of course didn't stop me because Dublin has some great shopping that isn't available up here.
I made my first ever purchase in Forever 21.  I got some lovely earrings which are pastel and gold which is a colour combo I will never not love.
There was so many nice things and I tried on a few bits and bobs but I had my heart set on getting some shirts from there but didn't spot that many but I will definitely be back when I get back down to Dublin (I know its available online but there's something special about actually seeing and trying on clothes)
One of the main shops I wanted to go to whilst in Dublin was American Apparel.  I have been wanting polish from them for AGES and if you have been following me on tumblr for the past year or so then you would be aware of my hunt for the perfect hunter green and I finally got to buy Hunter, along with two other polishes, Imperial Purple and Lopez Canyon as the polishes were 3 for 21 Euro. I can't wait to try these polishes out and of course you guys will all find out about my experiences.  Have you guys got any favourite spots in Dublin you'd recommend for my next visit?  We had dinner in Eddie Rockets OF COURSE and made great use of Supermacs on O'Connell Street LOL!  Until next time :-)
