Soap and Glory - I'm Your Manicure Gift Set

So a week or so ago, I got a belated Christmas present from my friend Margaret (I'll give you yours soon LOL) and one of the items was this fab Soap and Glory hand pampering kit.  I've been wanting to try out Hand Food for a while since my hands REALLY suffer in the winter so I thought I'd do a little review for you guys :-)

I think my world has been turned upside down with the arrival of this hand scrub in my life.  I love exfoliating my face with a scrub that you can really FEEL scrubbing and this is how I feel with this hand scrub.  Your hands become as smooth as a baby's bum after about two or three minutes of scrubbing and in this awful weather, when the skin can become dry, hard and flaky, this is a saviour product.  The citrus smell of the scrub is gorgeous as well and makes the whole experience even better.

Hand Food has not disappointed in its moisturising powers.  It's a great accompaniment for the hand scrub as it helps lock in moisture to your hands again and make them soft.  It's very sweet smelling, which might be bothersome to some but you grow to like it.  The tube of cream you get might be too large for your bag but its great to keep beside your bed for when you wake up in the morning and go to bed.

After reading Estée's Moistursing Manicure post, I was prompted to use the moisturising gloves that came with the set.  I've always wanted to try out moisturising gloves as like I've mentioned before, I do suffer from rather dry hands in the winter.  I wanted to wear them the entire night of sleep but I had a really bad night where I was waking up every hour and not feeling too good so I took them off at about half three but my hands were really soft and looking well.  I'd show you a picture of them now but the effects were kind of reversed after a nine hour shift in work (soft hands and retail do not mix apparently LOL) but I might indulge myself tonight if I don't paint my nails, we'll see.

I still haven't used the polish yet but it's great that they included a colour that is the quintessential Soap and Glory pink.  Also included in the set is a file and buffer, as well as the prerequisite orange stick.  Many of the products included in this set seem to be limited editions, with Hand Food being the only one I can find on the website but hopefully Soap and Glory will release this set once again for Christmas 2014.

What do you think of these indulgant hand products?  Let me know in the comments below and be sure to follow me on all my websites below, until next time :-)

  1. This set looks great! I started using Hand Food about a year ago and it's a life saver! I love it! I wish they sold scrub and happiness in stores - it would be so good to try it out!
