Models Own Coconut Cream
Coconut Cream is one of only a few off-white shades available on the High Street (or drug store if you're so inclined), with Barry M's Coconut being another (oh how this could get confusing) but of course what makes Coconut Cream just a little bit different is it's scent.
Like the rest of the Fruit Pastel collection, Models Own Coconut Cream smells like it's name sake and unlike what I said in my previous post about Models Own Peach Melba, Coconut Cream REALLY smells like coconuts, which is just perfect for the summer.
The above swatch is three thin coats of the polish followed by a coat of Models Own Hypergel Gel Effect Top Coat*. Much like any pastel or white polish, you need a few coats to get opacity but always be sure to use thin, even coats so that the polish doesn't become too thick on the nail.
I think it's great that high street brands are finally coming out with affordable, decent off white polishes because white bases can sometimes be a bit too stark for nail art so having a base with the slightest tint of yellow, pink or whatever makes all the difference to making your nail art look more cohesive.
I'd definitely recommend Models Own Coconut Cream, it's got a good formula and like I said, it makes for a good alternative to white. The coconut scent is nice and not overpowering for my taste but I can see how it could be for others but it puts you in the mind of Pina Coladas and sun tan lotion so you'll soon have summer on your mind.
Models Own Coconut Cream is £5 and available from the Models Own website, bottleshops nationwide and Boots and Superdrug soon!
