Barry M Gelly Polishes - Spring 2016*

Next up on the Barry M swatch-a-thon are the new additions to the Gelly range. The colours in this Spring update aren't that dissimilar to the new Speedy shades so I guess it's perfect for those people who are either all about fast drying or hi-shine. You don't feel like you're missing out because you don't like one range over another. Follow me under the cut to see the swatches and my thoughts...

Cream Soda is a off-white shade with a slight green tone. I love how Barry M keep on adding these off-whites to the Gelly collection because they are a great alternative to white as a nail art base. This swatch is three thin coats and no top coat. That shine is all Gelly people!

Butterscotch looks as yummy as its namesake. I wouldn't say this was a nude but maybe that's because its too warm for my skintone but it is still a lovely shade which, like Cream Soda, would be a great alternative base for nail art. Again, this is three coats and no top coat.

Pink Lemonade is the prerequisite pale pink of this particular Spring collection. I don't have Rosehips, another pink from the Gelly range, to compare with this so I can't say whether the two are really similar or not but I can say that this is a very pretty shade, if not a bit predictable. Like the first two Gelly shades, three thin coats and no top coat.

Acai Smoothie is a gorgeous magenta/purple shade which acts as a great transition between Winter and Spring if you're not feeling aubergine any more but aren't ready for lilac. This shade is a bit more opaque than the others so it just took two coats and again, no top coat.

The new additions to Barry M's Gelly range live up to the reputation of the rest of the collection. If you want to get your own spring update of the collection, you can grab the colours now from Barry M's website, Superdrug and Boots for £3.99
