Benefit They're Real Beyond Brown Mascara Review
So if you follow ANY beauty blogger you'd probably be aware that Benefit has released several new coloured additions to their They're Real mascara and eyeliner range. I'm a fan of the original black They're Real mascara and am yet to try the liner but when I found out that they would be releasing a brown version of it, I got really excited because I love the effect of They're Real but because it's such a dramatic look, jet black mascara during the day can look a bit too much. I really wanted They're Real mascara in brown to be my go-to daytime mascara that would still achieve the visible results of the black version so follow me under the cut to get the skinny on what I thought of this much hyped release.
At £19.50, it is not a cheap product by any stretch and it is a treat but if you're a fan of the original and think you'll get the wear out of the brown then I say go for it. Since the brown shade is so wearable (even more so than the black) I'd argue that you'd get your moneys worth with repeated wear of this mascara, more so than say the blue shade that was also released. If you're a fan of the no-makeup makeup look or are quite fair and want a more natural tint to your lashes, it should be a good choice for you but its up to you.
You can get They're Real Beyond Brown mascara from Boots, Debenhams, and the Benefit website.

Benefit They're Real Mascara (Beyond Brown)
As you can see, the brush is exactly the same as the original They're Real mascara. The brush design means that you get coverage on the lashed right down to the root and the rounded top makes it easier to get into the inner and outer corners without much mess. You do have to work a bit to get that false lash effect by wiggling the brush whilst pulling it up but it's effective.
As you can see, I have quite dark lashes naturally and the dark brown shade of the mascara is a really good match to my natural shade so this mascara is kind of the lash equivalent of the perfect 'your lips but better' lipstick, you're eyelashes but better LOL. I have quite long but straight eyelashes and while the above result might not seem like much to a lot of people, to have ANY sort of curl to my lashes is a miracle. The great thing, and also the most annoying thing about They're Real mascaras is that they DO NOT SHIFT. I mean, sometimes I get a bit of a drop from the mascara by the end of the day but when you want to take this off at the end of the night, only the strongest eye makeup remover will do. This is great because the mascara will last all day but then by the end of the day, it's a bit of a chore to remove which can be a bit annoying. Benefit have now released they're own They're Real eye-makeup remover which I received a free sample of because I bought two products (one for me, one for my Mummy) but haven't tried so I can't say if it works well yet.

I have heard such wonderful things about this product and with the launch of it in different colours I really must give it a try!

I think it's definitely worth giving a go in the brown or black shade because it does work but for the price, maybe stay away from the blue since it is a bit more gimmicky :)
