Models Own Twilight Collection Swatches* (Everyday Storm, Grey Storm, Cashmere Rose and Marsala)
You might have seen my previous post where I featured two of my favourite new shades from the Hypergel range by Models Own. Well today I have four more shades from the Twilight Collection to tickle your Autumn/Winter fancy! These shades are very much on the safe for work scale of polishes so if you're looking for the perfect autumnal shade that'll see you through work and the weekend, then you might find it here so let's get started.
All of the below swatches are with no top coat.
Everyday Grey* is a cool, mid toned grey. It's a two coater with a smooth creme finish. I have a thing for grey polishes and this definitely fits the bill as a good'un.
Grey Storm* is a brown-grey, sort of like a mushroom shade. It's a warmer alternative to your standard grey like above so it might be a good work option for warmer and darker skin tones. Like Everyday Grey, it's a two coater.
Cashmere Rose* is a dusky rose shade, an autumnal version of bubblegum pink. It's more dusky in real life but its a really pretty shade. This one did have a slightly patchier formula so it took three coats BUT be careful as hypergels do tend to load heavily on the nail so be sure to take off excess product from the brush before application.
Marsala* is a darker red, not quite burgundy but not far off. It's the perfect polish if you're still wanting to rock Pantone's Colour of the Year. This shade had more of a crelly formula but still only needed two coats which is great. I like to refer to this kind of red as Disney Villain nails, you can just imagine Maleficent or the Evil Queen rocking this.
All in all, the Hypergel polishes are yet to fail me too badly. Cashmere Pink is on the thinner side but it's a lighter shade so its kind of expected. Can I sing the praises of the new wide brush that's been released with the new Twilight collection? It means far less clean up for me and faster application. Please bring this in to all new polishes Models Own, the people want it LOL
The polishes from the Twilight Collection, as well as the rest of Models Own's nail polish range are £4.99 each and can be purchased from the Models Own website and Superdrug. What autumnal shades are you rocking at the moment? Let me know in the comments below. Be sure to like, subscribe and follow me on my social media sites, until next time :-)
