Barry M Boots & Superdrug Summer Exclusives 2016*
Every summer Barry M graces us with fab summer releases and a stable feature of these collections is the Boots and Superdrug limited edition releases. There are four exclusive shades available in Superdrug and Boots this year. In the past we've had neons, metallics etc but this year, it's all about that luxe, beach-ready mani.
Let's get started, shall we?
Golden Sands is a gorgeous light peach shade with gold micro-glitter available in Boots. It took three coats to get full opacity and yes, these limited edition polish feature the wide brush! I LOVE this shade. It's so delicate and soft but the gold micro-glitter turns it from being a soft nude to a fun, yet elegant holiday nail colour.
Beachy Keen is a darker nude creme exclusive to Boots this summer. It took two coats to get full opacity for this one. I didn't use a top coat for any of the swatches so you can see how glossy the finish of this polish is. A lovely creme, not too dissimilar in shade to Mocha from the Matte collection.
Carnival Couture is a cool-toned beige which is exclusive to Superdrug. With a silver shimmer, this shade isn't the best for my skin tone. It might look better on someone who's complexion isn't categorized as 'ghost-like'. Not my favourite but could suit someone else. Another three coater.
Finally we have Festival Fever, a hot pink shade with gold shimmer. Again, this is a shade probably made for a tanned hand but I can appreciate a fun bubblegum pink. A nice colour-pop in a collection of nudes. A three coater for me but you could probably get away with two.
So there you have it, do you guys have a favourite? Mine has to be Golden Sands, I honestly can't wait to get it back on my digits! The limited edition summer exclusives are available in their Boots and Superdrug, priced at £3.99. I'll be stocking up on a shade or two methinks! Until next time :)
