Geometric Green (Inspired by M&S Dark Chocolate with Mint)
So here's the story, I was buying some treats for my Granda for Father's Day and in Marks and Spencer, I grabbed some dark chocolate since he loves it and I noticed that all of the chocolate wrappers had really cool patterns so before I gave them to him, I snapped a new pictures for nailspiration. I'll be doing a few manicures over the coming weeks inspired by the packaging but here's the first one...
Models Own Green Gladiola, White Light (Hypergel) and Essie The More the Merrier and Mojito Madness
So here's the chocolate bar in question
As you can see, the original colour palette is very Flails and Nails so it immediately caught my eye but when I was looking through my polishes before I started this nail art, I struggled to find enough mint greens to teals that all had the same blue undertone so I switched mint green for lime green! I love Green Gladiola, it is the perfect pastel yellow green and the two Essie polishes tone in beautifully I think.
I've never really done a look like this before but it is by no means original, I think this looks quite MrCandiipants, but the wrapping paper definitely sparked this off. My lines aren't the neatest and I was using a newly cut down brush so things were a bit shaky but from a distance, they look alright LOL
I think something like this could be done with a multitude of colours, be it different tones of the same colour or different ends of the spectrum, I'll definitely be revisiting this one with different colour combinations in the future. What colours would you try out? Let me know in the comments below and be sure to follow me by the sites below to be up to date on all things Flails and Nails :-)
I'm so glad I'm not alone! I have snapped so many pics of Marks and Spencer packaging to recreate on my nails :D These are fab, love the colours!
ReplyDeleteThey're all so pretty, aren't they!? I must pop back in and get some more snaps (and maybe buy some chocolate as well LOL) but thank you :D
